Manual Cotton Press Machine
Manual cotton press is a traditional piece of equipment used to extract cottonseed oil from cottonseed. It usually consists of a sturdy wooden or metal frame, a pressing mechanism, and a container to collect the pressed oil. The operator places pre-prepared cotton seeds into the press and then applies pressure using a mechanical lever or hand crank to compress the seeds and squeeze out the oil inside.
The operation process of a manual cotton press is relatively simple, but requires a large amount of manpower investment. The operator must constantly turn the crank or operate the lever to maintain constant pressure on the seed. As pressure increases, cottonseed oil is squeezed out of the seeds and flows through specific channels into an oil collection container.
Although this traditional pressing method is not as efficient as modern automated machinery, it still has certain application value in small-scale production or traditional processes. The advantages of manual cotton presses are their simplicity, ease of maintenance and operation, and the fact that they do not require electricity or other energy input. However, due to its high labor intensity and low production efficiency, it is gradually replaced by automated and mechanized equipment in modern industrial production.
